Ah, you’re adding both of them together, as individually they are less than Levy.

Fair enough.

I'm seeing that as over 2 years (2015/16, 2016/2017).

£17m / 2 = £8.5m

If it's not and it's over 3 years, then it's still too much.

Re: Well done Sullivan
I dont have a problem with them taking money in the form of interest. Its their own asset they are taking it from at the end of the day so its up to them how they manage it. I expect there is a tax efficiency angle to it as well. Ie paying less tax personally and getting tax deductibles for the company.

I also dont have a problem with them having a reasonable amount of debt, these days debt is such an asset that ts almost negligent not to have some!

What I do mind is them wanting to use the above to portray themselves as martyrs or use the 'were still in lots of debt' excuse to avoid strengthening the club.

Er, isn’t that more, Trunds?

"So, what would be an acceptable interest rate to the people up in arms about the owners earning money from the club?"

I dunno, but it certainly wouldn't be anything near the amount they get now, which (I think) makes them the highest paid chairmen in the Premier League.

They were paid £17million in interest on loans between 2015 and 2017. Levy, the highest paid chairman (officially) pays himself £7m a year.

The vast majority of owners charge zero interest on loans to their clubs. The few that do don't charge anything like the 4-7% our owners have.

When you talk about working for nothing, what exactly do you think they do that's worth the millions they've been getting from these loans? Thankfully Sully seems to have stopped interfering in transfers so much, and fuck knows what Gold ever did apart from making a fool of himself. They also pay a huge amount to Brady, presumably for doing some of the work most chairmen would do themselves (or at least oversee a much lower paid employee doing).

And let's not forget that they will gain a massive profit as soon as they sell up. There's fuck all excuse for it and very good reason why people were up in arms, especially when they were charging 7%.

Haven't you had a very similar issue to this before, you seem to love a drama, and I have no idea what POC is, but that is an impressive effort and expense you made there, many on here won't even go up the road to watch us. Glad we got the win for you both. Hopefully the Boxing day game still doesn't get moved, I wouldn't rule it out!

Are you expecting them to work for nothing? Seems a little naïve if so.

The idea of this thread was to give Sullivan some credit for helping out. Nothing more, nothing less.

No need to turn it into a bitch fest, you miserable twat.

I think G&S have taken 17m in interest to date, but they put 25m back into the club through the share offer last year.
